Sri Lanka beat West Indies in second ODI

Date:

Sri Lanka defeated the West Indies by eight wickets in the rain-curtailed second one-dayer in Colombo on Wednesday for an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The hosts chased the revised Duckworth-Lewis target of 225 runs with nine balls to spare in the day-night game at the Premadasa stadium.

The West Indies had scored 214 all out off 37.4 overs after electing to bat.

The match, which was held up for more than three hours because of heavy rain, was reduced to 38 overs a side.

The third and final game will be played on Saturday.
