Deepika and I would love to do ‘DDLJ’: Ranbir

Date:

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s on-screen chemistry has off lately been compared to Shah Rukh-Kajol’s and the “Barfi!” actor says he and his ex-girlfriend would love to star in “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, if it is ever made again.

Recently, an online survey declared Ranbir-Deepika as next SRK-Kajol.

Ranbir, 33, feels the comparison to the couple, who he and Deepika “look up to”, is proof of the actor’s and his “Tamasha” co-star’s popularity as a pair.

“Someone asked us which classic film we would like to do and we said it would be ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ because we have grown up with Shah Rukh and Kajol. We look up to them, the love they have got. So, it is just a kind of an affirmation that people like us together on screen.

“I hope we reciprocate that in the kind of films we do, with Tamasha which is a very special film. I hope audience continues liking us together so that I get to work with her again and it does not take a two-year-long gap for us to come back together,” Ranbir said in an interview here.

The duo has starred in films like “Bachna Ae Haseeno”, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and the upcoming “Tamasha” which releasesNovember 27.
