19 police officers shifted in Punjab

Chandigarh: In a major reshuffle, Punjab government ordered transfer and posting of 19 police officers including a DGP, 4 ADGP and 2 SSPs.

Senior IPS officer Anil Sharma who was on central deputation has been posted as DGP (Intelligence and SPU), an official spokesperson said here.

ADGP Dinkar Gupta has been given the charge of Adminstration and Community Policing while ADGP M K Tiwari has been posted as ADGP HRD.

Rohit Chaudhary has been shifted as ADGP Railways, he said.

Senior IPS officer Hardeep Dhillon has been again handed over the charge of law and order and Director Civil Defence.

B K Uppal will look after the charge of ADGP Welfare and Litigation Punjab.

DIG Arun Pal Singh has been posted as IGP Armed Battalions, Jalandar, while IPS officer Naunihal Singh has been given the post of IGP Zonal I Patiala.

R K Jaiswal has been posted as IGP Intelligence while Paramjit Singh Grewal has been shifted as IGP IRB Patiala.

Balbir Kumar Bawa has been given the charge of state Crime Record Bureau Investigation wing while Arpit Shukla has been posted as IGP Headquarters.

Ishwar Chander has been posted as IGP Training cum Additional Director MRS Academy Phillaur, while Gaurav Yadav has been given the charge of IGP Litigation.

Naresh Kumar has been transferred as IGP Security Chandigarh while Shiv Kumar will be DIG Jalandhar Range.

SSP Bathinda Rajeshwar Singh who is a PPS officer has been posted as Commandant 75th Battalion while Fazilka SSP Swapan Sharma has been given the charge of SSP Bathinda.

PPS officer Inder Mohhan Singh Bhatti will be SSP Fazilka.
