In a latest and significant development in the Sheena Bora murder case, former media magnate Peter Mukerjea has been charged with Sheena Bora’s murder. Peter is currently in the CBI court. He was arrested by the CBI on Thursday for allegedly “shielding the accused”.

• CBI had sought for 14 days remand for custodial interrogation of #PeterMukerjea.
• CBI says, “Peter Mukerjea was involved in criminal conspiracy of #SheenaBora’s murder, was aware of the murder but hid the fact.”
• CBI says, “Peter knew Sheena was dead and he lied to Rahul saying she was alive.”
• Peter’s lawyer argues in court that phone calls do not prove the conspiracy angle.
• CBI has charged also charged Peter on criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence.
• Peter Mukherjea’s wife Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai- the accused trio’s judicial custody has been extended to December 3.
• According to reports, CBI is likely to question top Mumbai cop and financial links are likely to probed.
• The chargesheet filed by the CBI says that Indrani was unhappy over the Sheena-Rahul relationship and Sheena threatened Indrani to divulge the truth behind her relationship with Indrani if she told anything to anyone about Rahul.
