From Bai to Breakfast, book online

Date:

New Delhi: “We are lucky to be born in this era – the era of technology. Everything is online. From clothes to medicine to maid, the want is just a click away,” says Sohini Mukherjee, who works with an MNC here.

For Sohini, it is next to impossible to spend time on daily household needs and thus she prefers ordering online.

Yes, the internet revolution is here and is surely not a bubble; it is here to stay. The year 2015 is said to be the year of technology and with new innovations it has reached a new high.

It is the year of start-ups and online business. From ‘bookmybai’ to ‘bookmyshow’ everything is now online making life more comfortable and dependable.

“For me internet plays a very important role, now it’s like i am addicted to it. Internet saves our time, saves paper utilisation as we use email to interact,” says Guwahati-based Debjit Kar.

“Internet is soon going to its next level of speed as LiFi will take over WiFi, which works 100 times faster from it, transmission of data will be in seconds soon,” he added.

“For someone as lazy as me, this internet revolution is a saviour! Whether I crave for delicious food or need to book tickets last moment or want the perfect gift for a friend, there are so many options! With fast internet which I have, there is never a dull moment around.. Thumbs up from me!” says Debarupa Bhattacharjee.

For Anindita Bora, the world has for sure taken onto a virtual world. “As virtual connectivity grows strong and prominent; physical presence is losing its ground … Now we can assess information and efficiency only through profiles and displays than in any form of physicality.”

Movie tickets have gone online, stores and boutiques have taken to e-shopping , services and jobs are replaced by outsourcing and love and dating have been replaced by rapid hook up apps like tinder. This is definitely a transition to a highly virtual and technological era. All I can say is the world is losing its touch to reality and is in a maze of the new found virtual era,” she added.

While some believe it’s a boon, and for some, it’s making people losing touch with the real world, NewsMobile lists down a few such services which are unique and a ‘social’ hit.
