South Cinema stars unite to support #ChennaiFloods victims

As Chennai is trying to pick up the pieces of life, prominent names from southern film industry like Rana Daggubati, Siddharth, Dhanush have come together to help the people of flood-hit Tamil Nadu.

The actors and film producers reached out to people with food, medicine, blankets and other necessary amenities to help people in whichever day they could.

“In solidarity with the people of Chennai and TN affected by the floods, a few of Telugu cinema’s actors have come together and formed an initiative called ‘Mana Madras Kosam’
“We would contribute financially, raise funds and ensure proper relief work is being carried on ground,” Rana posted on his Twitter page.
The actor is also carrying out a fund raising campaign through his family-owned Ramanaidu Charitable Trust.
“We can use all the help we can get! Please send your contributions to Ramanaidu Charitable Trust,” tweeted actor-producer Allari Naresh.

Bollywood celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez, Kalki Koechlin, Boman Irani and Abhishek Bachchan are also supporting Rana’s initiative and urging their Twitter followers to donate for the needy through the “Baby” actor’s trust.
Collaborating with Ramanaidu Studios, Lakshmi Manchu and Navdeep have also asked people of Hyderabad to donate food and water supplies as well as sanitation supplies.
The charitable trust will be sending trucks filled with relief goods to Chennai on Sunday.
“Aadukalam” star Dhanush is also active on the micro-blogging site, continuously asking his fans to lent support.
“If anybody has excess food we can channelise to the right people,” he wrote.
