Mumbai: Actress Rani Mukerji and filmmaker husband Aditya Chopra today welcomed their first child, a baby girl.
Aditya’s younger brother Uday Chopra and friend Karan Johar shared the news on Twitter.
“IT’S A GIRL!!!” tweeted Uday.
“Am an uncle to a beautiful baby girl today!!! @udaychopra!! Rani and Adi had a baby girl!” wrote Karan.
They have named the baby girl Adira Chopra, coined from Aditya and rani.
Rani, 36, and Aditya, 42, secretly tied the knot in April last year in Italy.
It is the first marriage for Rani while Aditya, who is known to be a very private person, was previously married to Payal Khanna but they got divorced in 2009.
