Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi on Friday night after visiting three nations. In his last leg the Prime Minister had surprise visit to Lahore on the occasion of Pakistan Prime Nawaz Sharif’s birthday. PM Modi arrived at Lahore airport on Friday evening where he was greeted by his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
Soon after his return from foreign tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s house here and greeted him on his 91st birthday.
Visited Atal ji at his residence and conveyed birthday greetings to him.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi after returning in a tweet said he was personally touched by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s gesture of welcoming him at the airport and also seeing him off.

Earlier, in what may be called as a surprise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Lahore on Friday afternoon, his first touchdown in Pakistan, to meet his counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
The announcement came from Modi himself in a tweet as he prepared to wind up his brief visit to Afghanistan.

The two Prime Ministers would be meeting at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport.
Earlier, confirming the news, the Prime Minister tweeted, “Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif & wished him on his birthday. Looking forward to meeting PM Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today afternoon, where I will drop by on my way back to Delhi.”

Prime Minister Modi had earlier today extended his wishes to the Pakistani counterpart on his 65th birthday.
The two Prime Ministers had last met at the Paris Climate Summit COP21.
