New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was on Wednesday shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
“He is conscious, alert and is taking orally. He continues to be on antibiotics, antifungal drugs and supportive therapy and is being closely monitored by a team of experts,” a statement issued by the hospital said.
The J&K CM was flown to New Delhi on December 24 and admitted in AIIMS for treatment. A state government spokesman had said his “health is absolutely fine”.
Sayeed’s daughter and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti had accompanied him to Delhi.
