2016 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 Launch Details

Date:

After displaying it at the Auto Expo in February this year, Hero MotoCorp will launch the Splendor 110 iSmart motorcycle in the country on July 14. The motorcycle was spotted at a company dealership a couple of days ago. What’s special about his product is that it will be the first line of motorbikes that will be produced in-house after Hero split with Honda. Expected to command similar volumes as of earlier models, the new model is estimated to cost 55,000.

The 2016 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 carries a similar yet evolved design language, in addition to new colour schemes. Power will come from the all-new 110cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 8.9bhp of power and peak torque of 9Nm. The motor will be paired to a 4-speed gearbox and will also have the now famous i3S technology.

This will be the second motorcycle from Hero that will feature i3S technology, and is expected to give a milage of 75-80 kmpl. The Splendor has had the most coveted name in the Indian Auto sector for along time now, and has dominated sales. The Honda Activa, over the last two months, however, dominated sales.
