Slain woman’s ‘boyfriend’ arrested

Kolkata, Aug 16 (PTI) Police has arrested the accusedperson believed to be the boyfriend of the woman whose bodywas recovered from the footpath of the posh Ripon Street areain the southern part of the city last Saturday. Rizwanur, who was in a relationship with the woman,later identified as Soma hailing from Jorabagan area, hadallegedly murdered the woman after he was forced by the ladyto marry her, a senior police officer said today. Besides Rizwanur, police arrested the Manager of thehotel, where the victim used to visit regularly and a womanemployee of the hotel, in connection with their suspectedlinks to the woman’s murder.
