Dance event to showcase country’s history

New Delhi, Aug 17 (PTI) A unique dance event which willshowcase the country’s history from ancient times tocontemporary will be held at Rajpath here tomorrow as part ofthe government’s ‘Bharat parv’ celebrations. According to officials in the I&B ministry, over 40dancers will participate in the event which will also haveUnion Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Mahesh Sharma and other highprofile dignitaries in the audience. The dance-drama moves across eras, from the times ofHarrappa and Mohenjodaro to British rule to Independence andmoves further to give a message against ills like corruption,water wastage, illiteracy, addiction and issues like farmersuicides.
