Navy helicopter makes precautionary landing

Mumbai, Aug 18 (PTI) A Chetak helicopter carrying outroutine practice made a ‘precautionary landing’ due to atechnical problem at the Advanced Landing Ground near Uran inNavi Mumbai today. There is no damage to the aircraft, which took off fromMumbai, and the personnel on board were safe, a Defencespokesperson said. A support helicopter has been sent to provide assistance.The helicopter will fly out of the location shortly, he said. The Chetak chopper is understood to have carried outthe safe ‘precautionary landing’ after suspected fuel leak. A chopper with spares and a team to rectify the defecthas been sent. PTI VT ARSRTRYS
