Three of family killed as house collapses due to rain

Varanasi, Aug 18 (PTI) Three members of a family werekilled today as their house collapsed due to rain at Purevillage under Mirzamurad police station here, police said. The three deceased — Rekha, Jittu and Lalita Devi — andothers were sleeping in the mud house which caved in due toheavy rains early in the morning. The neighbours rushed to their rescue and managed to pullout five persons from the debris who were taken to agovernment hospital where the three were declared broughtdead, said Mirzamurad SHO Vivek Srivastava. The other two were undergoing treatment and theircondition was stated to be stable, he added. The bodies were sent for post-mortem, said the SHO. PTICORR RC ZMNRC
