A qatar Airways passenger jet engine with 298 passengers and 14 crew people caught fire. The plane made an emergency landing at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport on Thursday. The airline blamed a “bird strike” for the blaze.
A Video footage showed flames out of the left engine of the Airbus 330 plane as it landed at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport. The airlines stated, fire was caused on Flight QR240 from Doha to Turkey by a bird strike, without further explanation.
State-backed Qatar Airways is one of the biggest carriers in Middle-East. It is a big competition to other airlines from west. Qatar Airways has a fleet of 190 aircraft flying to over 150 destinations.
