Ranveer hopes P V Sindhu clinches gold medal

Mumbai, Aug 19 (PTI) Bollywood actor Ranveer Singhtoday said he is proud of ace shuttler P V Sindhu’sperformance at the Rio Olympics and hopes she will clinch thegold medal in the women’s singles summit clash of the sportsevent. "We all are so proud. Every person in this nation whois following Olympics is so proud of all the girls who havedone so well. P V Sindhu will be playing world number today.It’s a tough match today. The entire country is with her. Hopeshe will get gold for us," Ranveer said at an event here. The shuttler from Hyderabad will take Carolina Marinof Spain in the gold medal match this evening. On the good performance of Indian women athletes atthe ongoing Olympics, filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who was alsopresent at the event, termed it as women power. "We all will watch the match today," he added.
