239 new dengue cases reported from Bengal districts

Kolkata, Aug 21 (PTI) As many as 239 new dengue cases werereported from different districts of West Bengal in the last24 hours even as the death toll due to the vector-bornedisease remained unchanged at 20, officials said today. The total number of persons infected by the dengue virusrose to 4,223, state health Director of Health ServicesBiswaranjan Satpathy said. Most fresh cases were reported from Hooghly district’sSerampore and North 24-Parganas district, the medical officersaid. PTI SCH MDMRJ
