From Jaishree Balasubramanian Bangkok, Aug 24 (PTI) Three separate bombs rockedThailand’s troubled Muslim majority southern province, killinga woman and injuring 30 others that prompted police to begin aprobe into the matter. The first explosion damaged nearby buildings and vehiclesparked at the site. A woman was injured who later succumbed toher injuries at the hospital. The second bomb hit a parking space behind a pub in Muangdistrict yesterday where no casualties were reported. The third incident took place in front of a hotel nearthe pub where another bomb blast had taken place. Initialpolice investigation showed that the bomb was hidden in avehicle that was left at the scene. The third bomb exploded in front of a fresh market inNong Chik district injuring one person. Deputy premier Prawit Wongsuwon said Police chiefChakthip Chaijinda and military officers have been ordered toinvestigate last night’s bombings in Pattani. The minister also said last night’s bombings were notlinked to the previous bomb attacks that took place in sixprovinces of Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phangnga, Phuket,Surat Thani and Trang on August 11 and 12.
