BCCI signs MoU with TERI to promote renewable energy

Kolkata, Aug 25 (PTI) Bengal Chamber of Commerce andIndustry (BCCI) today signed an MoU with The Energy andResources Institute (TERI) for promoting renewable energy. "We signed the MoU with the chamber to populariseclean energy and climate. We will work with BCCI with ourtechnical resource. We can offer technology and businessmodels on renewables," TERI director general Ajay Mathur saidhere today. He said if there is demand then Teri may consideropening a resource center in city. State Power Minister Shobandeb Chatterjee, who waspresent on the occasion, promised all support to the cleanenergy initiative by BCCI. BCCI energy committee chairman Deb A Mukherjee saidthe agreement will forge an alliance between the chamber andTERI to work toghther in the domain of renewables and alliedfields. PTI BSM KKKK
