Brookfield to set up office in India

From Gurdip Singh Singapore, Aug 25 (PTI) A global real estate facilitywill open its first office in India, a top company executivehas said. Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions (GIS), willestablish their base in the fourth quarter of this year inMumbai. "Mumbai will be our Indian headquarter. We will havepeople on the ground in major cities," said Mike Harrison,Brookfield GIS’s executive managing director for Asia, here. He said that Indian market has a "strong potential" andis backed by abundance of talent. The firm also aims to increase regional presence byestablishing offices in China, Japan and South Korea by 2017. "Asia Pacific has been identified as one of the fastestgrowing markets in the world with countries like China andIndia driving the bulk of this growth," said Jon McCormick,President and Managing Director of Brookfield GIS, AustraliaNew Zealand.
