Audio clips in Sheena case integral part of charge sheets: CBI

New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) CBI today made it clear thatcertain audio clips related to Sheena Bora murder case hadbeen taken note of and formed "integral part’ of its chargesheets in the case. Reacting to the audio tapes being played or referred to incertain news channels, CBI spokesperson said these clips havealready been fully investigated by the agency. "All the audio recordings form an integral part of thecharge sheets filed by CBI in court against Peter Mukherjea,Indrani Mukherjea and others on November 19, 2015 and February16, 2016. "Hence, these audio recordings are relied upon materialsin the charge sheets and already submitted in the court. Thecourt has taken cognisance of the same," the spokespersonsaid. Sheena (24), daughter of Indrani Mukherjea from her pastmarriage, was allegedly strangled in a car by Indrani on April24, 2012 and her body was burnt before it was dumped in aforest in adjoining Raigad district of Maharashtra. CBI has filed two charge sheets in which Indrani, herformer husband Sanjeev Khanna, her present husband PeterMukherjea and former driver Shyamvar Rai, have been chargedwith murdering Sheena, disposing of her body and disappearanceof evidence.
