Youth killed in clash in Pulwama

Srinagar, Aug 26 (PTI) A youth was killed and severalothers injured in fresh clashes between protestors andsecurity forces in Pulwama district, raising to 67 the deathtoll in the ongoing unrest in Kashmir. "One youth identified as 18-year-old Shakeel Ahmad Ganaiwas brought to district hospital Pulwama with pellet injuriesin his chest. He was declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctors,"a police official said. He said Ganai and several other persons were injured inthe action by security forces against protestors at NikasArbal in Rajpora area of the district this afternoon. With this death, the toll in the ongoing unrest, whichbroke out a day after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Waniwas killed in an encounter on July 8, has reached 67. PTI MIJAKK
