Youth held with 3 country-made pistols in Maharashtra

Malegaon (Maha), Aug 27 (PTI) A youth was todayarrested for allegedly possessing three country-made pistolshere, police said today. Acting on a tip-off, the accused Saliq Ahmed AbdulAjij, a resident of Nayapura was apprehended from theMalegoan-Dabhadi road in the wee hours and three pistols and27 live cartridges were recovered from his possession, PoliceSub Inspector Nitin Khairnar said. Two mobiles and Rs 85,000 were also recovered from hispossession, the officer said. Ajij was produced in a local court which remanded himto six days in police custody, Khairnar said.
