BJP meeting of CMs, Dy CMs for political gains: Pilot

Jaipur, Aug 28 (PTI) Accusing the BJP governments of"ignoring" the interests of poors and farmers, PCC PresidentSachin Pilot today said that the meeting of the party’s chiefministers, deputy chief ministers and its president was justfor political gains having "no concern with welfare of poors". Pilot, also attacked the Vasundhara Raje government forallegedly stopping the pension of nearly ten lakh poors andsaid that corruption is rampant in the BJP-ruled Rajasthan. "The meeting has no connection with the welfare of poorsand farmers, this is just for political gain. The governmentis just trying to give a message in states ahead of assemblyelections but the truth is that the government is leastconcerned for the welfare of poors and farmers," he said. BJP government at the Centre has "cut" budget of socialwelfare, hitting various schemes of pension and scholarships,he was quoted as saying in a statement. During his inaugural address at the one-day meetingyesterday, BJP President Amit Shah had exhorted the party’schief ministers to make their states an effective instrumentfor execution of the Centre’s "pro-poor" and "good governance"agenda.
