Femina Miss India ’16 sets her goal on Miss World Pageant

Kolkata, Aug 28 (PTI) This year’s Femina Miss India Worldwinner Priyadarshini Chatterjee wants to focus on winning 2016Miss World Pageant in Washington on December 20. "Having got the chance to represent North East India in apremier pageant like Miss India World, my next wish will be torepresent India and make my country proud and project my nativeplace, my region. No other commitments now," the girl fromAssam said during a visit here. "Take a chance, because even if you don’t win, you’llgo back with so much more," she said. Adjudged by Sanjay Dutt, Sania Mirza, Arjun Kapoor,Ekta Kapoor and others during the ‘Miss India’ final in Aprillast, Priyadarshini said she felt inspired by the success ofRio Olympians — silver medal winner badminton star P B Sindhu,bronze medal winning wrestler Sakshi Malik and gymnast DipaKarmakar, who ranked fourth in gymnastics. "I am inspired by the grit and determination of thesegirls. I also dream to be the winner in ‘Miss World’ inDecember and make my country proud in another internationalplatform," she said Priyadarshini, who rated Manish Malhotra and Shane Peacockas her most favourite Indian designers and gushed aboutManish’s recent show in ongoing Lakme India Fashion Week, washere to launch well-known designer Jaya Misra’s latestcollection ‘MOSAIC’. "I learnt from the best, sessions which were taken by thewho’s who in the industry. But my learning continues for thenext goal," she said recalling her pageant experience. "And I think every girl who wants to be a beauty queenshould enter such competition. I met 21 girls and they alltaught me something." PTI SUS MMBK
