Chandigarh, Aug 31 (PTI) Troubles for Aam Aadmi Partydo not seem to end with party leader Kanwar Sandhu todayraising objection over Harmail Singh Tohra’s joining the partyand describing it as a "hasty decision". On his Facebook post, Sandhu, a former journalist wrote,"I wish I had known about Harmail Singh Tohra’s involvement inthe unfortunate attack on AAP MP Dr Dharamvir Gandhi in 2014Lok Sabha polls. I would have opposed his entry". "Now this person must publicly apologise for his rolein the attack," he said. "Besides, he should prove that he is committed to AAP’sstrategy before being made a candidate for any polls," hefurther said. Tohra, former SGPC chief and Akali leader late GurcharanSingh Tohra’s son-in-law, and his wife Kuldeep Kaur Tohrayesterday joined AAP in the presence of party leaders,including Sanjay Singh, Bhagwant Mann, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi. Interestingly, Sandhu was also present on the occasion. When contacted, he confirmed about his comments on hisFacebook post. Sandhu, who is a chairman of party’s Punjab Dialogue,urged the party to be "more careful" while inducting peoplein future. "Obviously, we need to be more careful in inducting peopleleft and right and broad-base the screening process for thesame," he said in his post. Notably, Gandhi, who was a AAP candidate from PatialaLok Sabha seat in 2014, was allegedly attacked by some youthsin Patiala.
