Landslides force closure of Jammu-Srinagar highway

Jammu, Sept 1 (PTI) The 300-km long Jammu-Srinagarnational highway was today closed due to landslides triggeredby heavy rains in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. The landslides caused by heavy rains blocked thehighway at Khari today, large number of vehicles are strandedon the highway from both the sides, a police officer said. The men and machines of Border Road Organisation (BRO)are working to clear the landslide and resume the traffic,the officer said. PTI AB APK RTDIP
