All-new Audi A4 to enter Indian roads

Date:

New Delhi: In what could be a good news for car enthusiasts in India, Audi is all set ready to come out with an all-new avatar of its flagship sedan Audi A4.

The luxury sedan is expected to be launched by the end of this month.

From the exterior, the first changed and the most prominent change will be spotted at the front with a larger grille, new bumper design and Audi’s Matrix LED Headlamps.

While the rear end of the car will get new LED tail lamps and bumper design.

If we talk about interiors then the car seems to take inspiration from the new Q7, with a horizontal and sleek dash with an MMI panel in the centre along with a new digital instrument console. The biggest change though could be the addition of Audi’s virtual cockpit, which helps in a better driving performance.

The leg room too might become better in the new A4 as the car is expected to have an increased overall length of 25 mm and a 12 mm longer wheelbase.

The changes under the hood are expected to be in the form of a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine, which also powers the Volkswagen Jetta and the new Volkswagen Beetle and produces 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. There’s also a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that is expected to be launched later this year, which will produce 174 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Both of these engine options are expected to come mated to an 8-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission and quattro All-Wheel Drive system.
