Karan Johar to attend Toronto Film Festival

Mumbai, Sep 2 (PTI) Director Karan Johar will attend the2016 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which isgoing to open on September 8. This will be Johar’s second TIFF outing. He first went tothe prestigious festival in 2006 and also screened there hisromantic-drama "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna". The 44-year-old filmmaker shared the news on Twitter andthanked the artistic director of the festival, CameronBailey, for inviting him. "Cameron… Thank you for inviting me… #TIFF16… Seeyou on the 10th…," he wrote. The producer also retweeted the post of Bailey in whichthe Canadian film critic wrote, "@karanjohar in conversationat #TIFF16, Saturday Sept 10." The filmmaker will reportedly be a part of the ‘InConversation With’ segment at the festival. He is likely to join Hollywood stars like Mark Wahlberg,French actor Isabelle Huppert, Brazilian actor Sonia Braga,and Palestinian filmmaker and actor Hiam Abbass, among others.PTI SSN PSHPSH
