3 illegal arms suppliers arrested

New Delhi, Sep 9 (PTI) Three illegal arms suppliers havebeen arrested and 13 pistols and several rounds of ammunitionwere seized from them, police said today. One of the accused, identified as Imran, was arrested bya Special Cell team near Karnal bypass in Mukarbad Chowkyesterday. Twelve sophisticated pistols, 10 spare magazinesand 40 live cartridges brought from Burhanpur in MadhyaPradesh, were seized from him, said Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, DCP(Special Cell). Following his interrogation, two more persons, identifiedas Naushad and Sunil, were arrested from Singhu Border today.One pistol and 10 live cartridges were seized from them, hesaid. Imran admitted that he was involved in illegal supply ofarms for the last three years. He sold it to criminals inDelhi-NCR, the officer claimed, adding Sunil from Haryana wasinvolved in more than 10 criminal cases including three caseseach of murder and attempt to murder.
