SP will return to power on basis of development: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Sep 10 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief MinisterAkhilesh Yadav today claimed that Samajwadi Party will returnto power on the basis of development works undertaken duringthe five years of his government. "We have to work really hard for next five months topublicise the works done during the last five years of thegovernment to the people..(if we do so) we will get anotherfive years," Yadav said after flagging off "Mulayam SandeshYatra’ for the upcoming polls at the party headquarters here. Making a veiled attack on BJP, he said his government hasdone more work on ground than those who had promised ‘achcheydin’ and development and added that metro is being constructedat three places and not just at one place in the state. "Metro is being made in the parliamentary constituency ofHome Minister Rajnath Singh and if we get opportunity we willmake one in the constituency of Prime Minister," he said. "Opposition parties are worried because of the works andpolicies of SP government…..BSP had made parks in which theelephants erected have not moved ..whereas we have givenpension to 55 lakh women," he said. The Chief Minister said though his government did a lot ofgood work, it was not able to adequately publicise them. He appealed to the party workers to work hard for the nextfive months and reach the people. "If they can do this, SP will form the government for nextfive years," he said. The yatra will cover four divisions in the first phase andwill end in Lucknow on September 20. PTI SAB RCB RGRCB
