Fresh clashes in south Kashmir, dozens injured

Srinagar, Sep 11 (PTI) Dozens of civilians were injuredtoday during fresh clashes between security forces andstone-pelting protesters in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district,police said. Thousands of residents of Karimabad and adjoining areastook to streets this morning to protest against the allegednocturnal raids conducted by security forces, a police officialsaid. The protestors started pelting stones at the securityforces who retaliated by firing tear smoke shells and pelletguns, he said. Twenty injured persons have been referred to varioushospitals in the city, the official said. The clashes were going on in the area till reports lastcame in, he added. PTI MIJ DIP DVDIP
