SpiceJet plane skids off runway, all passengers safe

Tiruapti, Sep 17 (PTI) A SpiceJet plane with 60 passengerstonight skidded off the runway at Renigunta airport, about 20km from here, but no one was hurt, airport sources said. The flight, coming from Hyderabad, skidded off the runwaydue to technical snag about half-a-kilometre before coming toa halt after ploughing into the sandy soil, the sources said. The passengers, including former Andhra Pradesh MinisterRamnarayan Reddy, were disembarked from the flight and takento the airport waiting hall, they added. PTI CORR RCRCB
