Bastille top UK albums chart

Date:

Bastille have rocked their way to the top of the UK albums chart.

The British musicians have scored their second number one with Wild World, three years after their “Bad Blood” debut also topped the countdown, reported Billboard magazine.

They beat Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds to pole position.

They have entered at number two with “Skeleton Tree”, while The Beatles’ Live at The Hollywood Bowl is the new at three.

The concert disc was released to coincide with the premiere of Ron Howard’s new documentary “The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years,” and marks the Fab Four’s 32nd top five album in the UK.

Meat Loaf’s final project, “Braver Than We Are”, debuted at four, just ahead of former number one, Cartwheels by Ward Thomas.

Meanwhile, The Chainsmokers earn a third consecutive week atop the UK singles chart with their Halsey collaboration, Closer.
