More than 100 people injured in New Jersey train crash

A commuter train crashed at the New Jersey Transit’s Hoboken terminal, injuring passengers and causing serious damage. This incident happened around 8:00 AM in the morning, it caused major damage to the station like its roof collapsed and twisted steel and shattered glass on the ground.

A passenger reportedly said that he was standing in the back of the second train car when the train rammed through the platform and hit number of pillars which caused the roof to smash the train. He further added that “I saw a woman pinned under the concrete. A lot of people were bleeding, one guy was crying.”

The Hoboken station, where an estimated 50,000 commuters pass through daily via train, light rail, subway, bus and ferry, is located across the river from Lower Manhattan.
