\ staff\ New Delhi, Oct 28 (PTI) Delhi Congress leaders today met\Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and sought his intervention in\regularising contract employees of DTC.\ Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken, who led the\delegation, said, \\"Kejriwal government should immediately\regularise contract employees with DTC and till completion of\the regularisation process, they should be paid salaries on\par with the regular employees.\\"\ The delegation also included Congress leaders of Delhi\Transport Corporation (DTC).\ Maken also demanded that DTC should immediately terminate\the annual maintenance contract given to a private company as\it is threatening to render thousands of employees jobless.\ DTC should replenish its depleted bus fleet without\further delay as the shortage of buses have affected public\transport in Delhi causing \\"terrible\\" inconvenience to\commuters, he claimed.\ \\"It may be recalled that when the Aam Aadmi Party came to\power in Delhi, the DTC had a fleet of around 5,000 buses\which has now come down to 4,000.
