Osmania University teacher booked for \\’cyber-stalking\\’

\ Hyderabad, Oct 28 (PTI) The Cyberabad police here have\booked a Osmania University teacher for allegedly sending\objectionable emails to a research student who is now in USA.\ The accused, teacher of Communicative English and a\research associate in the Department of English at the\University, was arrested yesterday for \\’cyber stalking\\’ and\other relevant offences under the IT Act and IPC, police said.\ He was later released on bail, said a senior police\official.\ He had met the victim when she was doing her post-\graduation in English and Foreign Languages University in\2007 and allegedly harassed her by sending objectionable\emails seeking intimate relations, police said.\ The victim, who is now doing research in USA, lodged a\complaint with the Cyberabad police.\ \\"We examined her through Skype and got the required\information.
