Porsche has launched its most affordable product in India, the entry level R4 variant of the SUV Macan. The Macan R4 is priced at Rs 76.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). With this, the Macan R4 has become the only Porsche product currently in the market with a price tag under Rs 1 crore mark.

The Macan R4 comes with 2.0-litre engine which puts it under the slab of low import duty as a CBU. The 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol unit that churns out 248bhp of power and develops 370Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to Porsche’s seven-speed PDK auto gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. Porsche claims the Macan R4 can go from standstill to 100km/h in just 6.7 seconds before topping out at 229 km/h.

Porsche has started taking bookings for the Macan R4 for the amount of Rs 10 lakh. The Macan R4 will be put directly against the recently launched Jaguar F-Pace SUV.
