New Delhi: India’s national carrier Air India has lately been on the news, and mostly for all the wrong reasons. In the past, the staff has protested against
training opportunities, 200 pilots collectively called in sick for
work which further cancelled many international flights and the
airline has severly been in debt.
The government had also planned to shut it down. Besides many other technical difficulties that caused several emergency landings, Air India strikes yet again and that also in a bad light.

An Air India Flight, AI 191, took off from the Indira Gandhi
International Airport, New Delhi on 17th December, 2016. It was to
land at Newark Liberty International Airport, New York with a stop
over in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The
passengers safely reached their destination but their luggage never
made it.
According to one of the passengers, the luggage was loaded onto the
plane at Delhi, however, the luggage was left behind at Mumbai during
the stop over.
The airline informed the passengers that they would
receive their luggage in the next 4-5 days.
The poor passengers are unfortunately left stranded in the cold snowy
winter of New York without any warm clothes. Some do not even have
their medicines, important documents and even their credit cards.
