All you need to know about ‘Battle For States’

Date:

New Delhi: The Central Election Commission Chief Nasim Zaidi on Wednesday announced the election dates for five assembly states.

The states which are going to polls include Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand.

Elections in Goa and Punjab will be held on February 4 in a single phase. Polls in Uttarakhand will be held on February 15. Manipur will go to polls in two phases on March 4 and March 8. Polls in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases.

The counting of Votes will take place on March 11, 2017.

UTTAR PRADESH LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY

Uttar Pradesh: Elections to be held in seven phases:

Phase 1 – (71 constituencies): Date of notification: January 17 | Last date of notification: January 24 | Date of scrutiny: January 25 | Last date of withdrawal: January 27 | Date of polling: February 11
