Geeta kumari Phogat is an instant star courtesy the Bollywood blockbuster Dangal who is also competing in the Professional Wrestling League.
In an exclusive talk to NewsMobile, Geeta said that the latest Aamir Khan starred blockbuster Dangal is 99% correct and depicts the journey of Phogat family.
This clearly puts all the criticism to the rest that it is not based on facts related to the life of the family of women wrestlers from Haryana.

However, Phogat denied that her father was locked by a coach during a crucial wrestling bout as depicted in the movie.

Nitesh Tiwari directed, Dangal starring Aamir Khan in the lead role became the audiences’ first choice post its release. Based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, Dangal that also marks the debut of Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh has been on a record setting spree since its release.

Collecting a total of Rs. 601 cr. at the box office, (Rs. 166cr from overseas + Rs. 435cr from domestic) Dangal has emerged as the third highest worldwide grosser till date.
