The cold wave lashing north India during which minimum temperatures in the capital is 2-3 degrees celsius and is expected to continue for another two days.
26 trains were delayed (arriving late in Delhi area), 8 rescheduled and seven cancelled due to fog and other operational reasons.
On January 11, Cold conditions intensified in Delhi-NCR as minimum temperature plunged to 2.3 degrees Celsius in parts of the city, the lowest in five years according to the MeT office Delhi. The further fall of temperature is also predicted in the northwest India in next few days.
On Wednesday, Delhi recorded its lowest minimum temperature for the season — at 4 degrees celsius, three degrees below normal.
However, it was Gurgaon its minimum temperature dipped to 1.7 degrees.
In Himachal Pradesh, Shimla’s temperature has further seen a dip today, it is -3.2°C according to the Himachal MeT.
