The new Porsche Panamera Turbo arrives in India

The new, 2017 Porsche Panamera, which was unveiled back in June last year, is finally launched in India. The second generation of the sporty four-door, four-seater, family Grand Tourer has arrived in India on March 22, 2017.

Engine

Globally, the top of the line Panamera Turbo has a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine with 550 hp (30hp more) of power and 770 Nm (70 Nm more) of torque. Zero to 100 km/h comes in 3.8 seconds. With the Sport Chrono Package, the sprint time is reduced to 3.6 seconds. The Panamera Turbo can reach a max speed of 306 km/h. All the variants of the Panamera get Normal, Sport, Sport Plus or Individual modes as standard. All engines come synced to a newly developed eight-speed PDK transmission.

The Panamera Turbo carries a price tag of INR 1.96 crore (ex-showroom). In terms of styling, the new Porsche Panamera Turbo has been extensively updated and now the car looks sharper and a lot more elegant. The exterior of the car comes with a set of LED headlamps, prominent character lines on the sloping bonnet and the sides. The rear section of the new Porsche Panamera Turbo has gone through some major changes and now features a pair of new stylish horizontal LED tail lamps, sculpted boot lid, and muscular rear bumper with the quad exhaust system.
