More embarrassment for United: Flyer says he was stung by an onboard scorpion

On the day the aviation security officers dragged a man off United Airlines flight, a Canadian national on board was stung by a scorpion adding salt to the United injury.

As per reports, Richard Bell felt something fall on his head and when he found out that it was a scorpion, he freaked out. The scorpion fell of Bell’s head from an overhead cabin in the business section of the flight while he was eating his meal. Bell told media that he was stung after he tried to hold the scorpion.

His wife Linda was reportedly quoted by media as saying: “The staffers quickly disposed off the creature.”

The airlines put out a statement: “Our flight attendants helped a customer who was stung by what appeared to be a scorpion on a flight last week. Our crew immediately consulted with a MedLink physician on the ground who provided guidance throughout the incident and assured our crew that it was not a life-threatening matter.”
