A popular radio jockey from Hyderabad who was married to an army major has committed suicide, according to police reports. The cause of suicide has been reported to be harassment by husband.
Sandhya Singh, a popular RJ was found hanging last week at the apartment provided by army to her husband, Major Vaibhav Vishal. Ms Singh’s family has claimed that Vishal was demanding dowry and had been harassing her for quite some time. The army major was named in the police case after initial report of suicide was registered.

After finding his wife’s body hanging from the ceiling, the army major started “feeling unwell” and was later admitted to a hospital. He is currently in the ICU. Reports said that the couple, both from Uttar Pradesh, fell in love and married less than two years ago.
Police officials claim that the couple was under “a lot of stress as they were undergoing weight reduction treatment.”
