Man with Pak passport at IGI airport says, ‘I am an ISI agent and want to remain in India’

A Pakistani passport holder, Muhammad Ahmad Sheikh Muhammad Rafiq, approached a helpdesk at the IGI airport and told the lady there that he wanted to share some information regarding Pakistan‘s spy agency, ISI.

Reports confirmed that a man on Air India flight from Dubai had come forward at the IGI airport to “share some information on ISI.”

He was reportedly quoted as saying, “Hello, I am an ISI agent. But I don’t wish to continue any further and want to remain in India.”

The woman at the counter was astonished and taken aback by his claims and she quickly informed the security officials who detained him. Central intelligence agencies were also alerted.

Rafiq, 38, had arrived by a flight from Dubai and was further booked for Kathmandu.

Reports further added that he was taken to an undisclosed destination for further questioning. Intelligence agencies are “verifying his claims,” reports said.

During questioning, the officials said that Rafiq confessed to being connected with the ISI but he had “decided to call it a day and remain in India.”
