Bodies of two missing persons found

Aizawl: The bodies of two persons, who were missing after they went fishing in the river Tuipui near Mizoram-Myanmar border were found near Sailulak village on Tuesday, village council leaders said.

The village council leaders said that F Lalthlanpuia and Vanlalnghaka, hailed from Sailulak village.

They went to the river Tuipui for fishing yesterday and went missing.

Volunteers from Sailulak village undertook a massive search operation after they failed to return to the village last night and their bodies were found today.

“It looked like one of them drowned and the other also drowned while trying to save the former,” a village council leader said.
