The first ever Chinese-made C919 passenger jet took off on Friday. The flight went into the clouds from Pudong International Airport, Shanghai in the front of the massive crowd who cheered about this feet. The single-aisle plane could carry 168 passengers and is likely to compete with Boeing and Airbus in the international aviation market.

China with the largest population is one of the biggest aviation markets still it was unable to get into building indigenous passenger planes. The scheduled test in 2014 of C919 was delayed due to various production issues.

The 39-meter jet is still not on par with names like Boeing and Airbus, but future is still bright, according to the makers. According the reports, the catalogue price of the Plane would be around $50 million which is almost half of its competitors.
