Kerala: Girl allegedly forced to remove her bra before NEET exam

A 17-year girl was allegedly forced to remove her bra in a strict move to check cheating during the NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) UG exam in Kannur district of Kerala on Monday.

The girl said ” I was stopped near the metal detector because of the sound which was coming out of my bra’s hook. Just 10 mins remaining I just ran and give my innerwear to my mother”.

“It was a very humiliating experience for me”.

A huge force has been deployed in 100 cities for the examination. Strict directions have been given to the police for carb down cheating. The students are not allowed to wear long sleeves shirts, scarves, nose rings or scarves, but this incident was way more than expected by the student. The students got stigmatize with this harsh checking and they also said that the exam looked more like a war zone with such rules and regulations.

The human right associations in the state have decided to file a case against the authorities. They are also seeking answers from CBSE.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan highly condemned the issue and said “The frisking of female candidates and removing their inner wear in the name of dress code was a violation of human rights. It should not have happened,”. In his facebook post.
