Indian Women’s cricket team openers Deepti Sharma and Poonam Raut put on an exceptional 320 runs partnership against Ireland and registered a mammoth victory of 249 runs against Ireland in quadrangular series held at Senwas Park, South Africa.
Deepti becomes the second highest scorer in the history of women One-Day International cricket by scoring staggering 188 runs in 160 balls with 27 boundaries and two sixes. She broke the record of the highest score by any Indian women cricketer and is second in the world after top scorer Belinda Clarke of Australia who scored 227 against Denmark in 1997.

She was well supported by her partner Poonam Raut who also scored a century (109) out of 116 deliveries. India scored a total of 358 runs after winning the toss. Ireland was restricted to just 109 in the second innings.
